WHAATTTT is up Roezan fam… It’s me, ya boy, Devin Zander
8-Figure Marketer & President Of The Local Boston Terrier Fan Club (and yes since I know you’re wondering… we do have merch… soon!)
Today I’ll be giving you an exact step-by-step SMS strategy you can use to get more attendees and sales on your next live and or scheduled webinar (aka a webinar that happens at a specified time).
(To be honest, you can also mirror this strategy for email and it will work great!)
The SMS strategy I’ll be going over today are texts that will be sent to people who HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED for your live webinar/workshop
In a future blog post I’ll cover how to get more sign ups via SMS + how to send out replays + close more deals via SMS
However, today we’ll just be covering how you can increase ATTENDANCE by 20%+ just by sending five text messages to people who have registered for your webinar
Hell yeah… Good stuff, I know! Lol let’s get into it
The SMS Strategy Overview
First things first…
Here’s the entire strategy in a nutshell:
So as you can see it’s pretty simple… And each text message serve its own purpose.
It’s important before sending an SMS you understand exactly what you’re trying to accomplish… You don’t want to text someone for no reason at all.
Goals For The SMS Campaign
So let’s take a quick look at our GOALS for this SMS campaign.
If we can successfully:
- Increase awareness of your webinar
- Increase consumption of your pre-launch content
Then we can dramatically increase your attendees, which of course leads to a lot more sales for you and your brand!
No matter how good you think your webinar is going to be, the reality is people are busy and forget a LOT.
So by sending daily reminders, you can build hype, get people excited and you'll dramatically increase your results!
Alright… With all that out of the way, let’s get into the actual text messages you’ll be sending.
Automating SMS Reminders
You can automate your SMS reminders with Roezan:
Text Message #1: Thanks For Registering
Timing:
Send DIRECTLY After Registration
Goal:
Get your number saved & get them used to receiving for SMS from your brand. Also we'll set expectations about what they'll be receiving in the days leading up to the webinar.
The Message:
Copy and paste the message below for your own use (make sure to fill in the blanks!)

Text Message #2: Awareness + Pre-Launch Content
Timing:
2 Days Before Live Call
Goal:
Increase awareness, remind those who have already registered that this call is happening. Also increases pre-launch content consumption which increases likelihood of webinar attendance + increase conversions on live call.
The Message:

Text Message #6: Going Live Now
Timing:
Send AS CALL STARTS / 5 minutes before (links directly to zoom room)
Goal:
Get people INTO the Zoom (or whatever webinar platform you use) right away…
Message:
Copy and paste the message below for your own use (make sure to fill in the blanks!)
Hey %FIRST_NAME%, It's Devin from Skup. Our call is starting now. Stop what you’re doing to ensure you don’t lose your seat! Join here: link
Note:
This is probably the most important SMS in the sequence
IF YOU CAN I highly recommend saving people’s custom join link via Zapier and creating it as a field inside of ActiveCampaign or whatever email platform you use.
This will allow you to send a text via Roezan with a join link directly to the webinar room.
However, I will assume you are not doing this inside so I recommend linking directly to the zoom registration page even if they’re already registered.
This will ensure they end up directly in the LIVE Zoom room since the call should already be ongoing when this is sent.
Use the Zoom “Source Tracking Link” feature which will also show you how many attendees this SMS alone will send
See the image below:
As you can see this “Starting Now” text sent almost 200 attendees on it’s own
Conclusion
That’s multiple 5-Figures in extra revenue using this text strategy!
And it costs 1/80th of what it generates :)
Hope you enjoyed, if you need help implementing this into your own business feel free to hit us up
And of course ensure you’re using Roezan to send those text messages ;)
